The questions you ask us.
Our grissini
What is a Rubatà grissino?
It's the traditional Piedmontese grissino: ‘rubatà’ is Piedmontese for ‘rolled’. Knobbly, irregular and crisp, it has been the speciality of Grissinificio Feyles since 1968.
How do you choose grissini?
Look at three things: the type, the label and how you'll use them. Piedmont has two traditional grissini: the rubatà, whose name means ‘rolled’, knobbly and irregular, and the stirato, pulled out long, thin and even. On the label the ingredients are listed by weight, the list tells you which fat is used, allergens are highlighted and the nutrition figures are per 100 g, so you can compare different products. Then choose by use: at the table with bread, with cured meats and cheese, or with an aperitivo. The Grissinificio Feyles guide ‘How to choose grissini’ explains it in full, with sources.
How are Feyles grissini made?
We make them in our bakery in Cambiano, with flour from a mill we trust, malt, salt and yeast. The rest depends on the flavour: lard in Il Classico, olive or sunflower oil in almost all the others, plus the ingredients each flavour is named after. The full list is on the label and on each product's page.
How long do they keep?
Loose grissini keep for up to 4 months, packaged ones for up to 6 and biscuits for up to 3. Store them in a cool, dry place, away from light.
Which allergens do they contain, and which products have no animal ingredients?
All our products contain gluten. Granin Gentile, Cioccorubatà al Gianduia and Lo Speciale (grissini with Nocciola Piemonte PGI hazelnuts) contain nuts, namely hazelnuts. Sesame seeds are in I Tre Semi; milk is in Brichet Cacio e Pepe (the pecorino), Cioccorubatà al Latte and all four biscuits, which contain butter; eggs are in all the biscuits; soybeans are in all three Cioccorubatà. Everything is made in the same bakery, so traces of nuts, sesame seeds, soybeans and mustard cannot be ruled out in the others; in Brichet Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino, traces of sulphur dioxide and sulphites too. These contain no ingredients of animal origin: the Rubatà L'Extravergine, L'Integrale, Il Light, Il Polentino, Lo Speziato and I Tre Semi; the Brichet Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino, Cipolla and Mediterraneo; and Cioccorubatà Fondente and Cioccorubatà al Gianduia. Not Il Classico: its dough contains lard. If you have particular dietary needs, check the label or the page of each product, or write to us.
Do you make gluten-free grissini?
No. All Grissinificio Feyles products contain gluten, because every one of them is made with wheat flour.
Ordering online
Where can I buy Feyles Rubatà grissini?
In our two shops: in Turin at Piazza Castello 49, and in Cambiano at Via Triberti 4, where we make them. Or online at grissinificiofeyles.it: we deliver to addresses in Italy only, and orders placed by 12 noon (Italian time) on a working day are dispatched the same day.
How much do Feyles grissini cost?
The price depends on the flavour and the size, from the 150 g box of Cioccorubatà to the 3 kg box of Rubatà. You'll find it next to each size, in the shop at grissinificiofeyles.it and on the product pages. Once you spend a certain amount, delivery is free and discounts apply; the thresholds are on the Delivery and returns page at grissinificiofeyles.it.
Where do you deliver, and how much does it cost?
For now, only to addresses in Italy, by GLS courier. Orders placed by 12 noon (Italian time) on a working day are dispatched the same day and usually arrive within 1–2 working days. Delivery costs €9.99 and is free on orders of €39.00 or more. If your basket includes a large box (1.5 kg, 2 kg or 3 kg), the order is delivered on a pallet: delivery costs €35.00 for the whole order and is free on orders of €150.00 or more. In the province of Turin, the standard rate applies to large boxes too.
Do you deliver outside Italy?
Not at the moment: the Grissinificio Feyles online shop delivers to addresses in Italy only. If you need a delivery abroad, or you're an importer or distributor, write to info@grissinificiofeyles.it and we'll see what we can do.
Are there any discounts?
Yes, and they're applied automatically in your basket: 5% off everything when you spend €65.00 or more, 10% when you spend €100.00 or more. The discount does not apply to delivery.
Do you have gift packs?
Yes. The 750 g box of Rubatà grissini is our gift box, and you can buy it in the online shop, with delivery throughout Italy.
How can I pay?
By card or with Satispay. Payment takes place on a secure page run by Stripe, the service that handles it: your card details never pass through us and we don't store them.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Choose your products, enter your address and pay: all you need is an email address and a phone number, which the courier needs for delivery.
I had an account on the old website: where can I find it?
In ‘My account’ (the little person icon at the top). You don't need a password: enter your email address and we'll send you a link to sign in. There you'll find your orders, including those placed on the old website, and you can reorder with one tap. You don't need to sign in to buy: your email address and a phone number are enough, and we recognise you by your email. To change your details, email or call us.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes, if you're an Italian business. In the basket, tick ‘I need a VAT invoice’ and enter your company name, VAT number (partita IVA) and SDI recipient code (or PEC address). If your registered office is different from the delivery address, there's a box for it.
