In the press

Here are the articles from newspapers, magazines and guides that have featured us, most recent first, each with a link to read it in full.

For each article there is a line on what it covers and a short quotation from it. Titles and quotations are given in the original Italian. Some of them are a few years old, and where something is no longer accurate we say so in the note below the article.

    by Piera Genta

The Corriere lists fourteen places in and around Turin to buy grissini. One of them is Grissinificio Feyles at Piazza Castello 49, described as a historic name in rubatà since 1968, with sesame and wholemeal versions too.

‘Un nome storico per chi ama il grissino “rubatà”.’

    — Corriere della Sera – Corriere Torino

Please note. The article describes long, even grissini made with water, flour, oil and salt. Our rubatà, however, are knobbly and irregular, and Il Classico also contains lard. Instead of the sesame grissini, there are now Tre Semi grissini, made with sesame, linseed and chia. The ingredients of each flavour are on its own page, which you can open from our Products page.

In May 2025 TorinoSette wrote about two restaurants, the second of which is San Giors, in Borgo Dora. At the time its signature dish, the Grissinopoli, was a cutlet breaded with Feyles rubatà.

Please note. The prices given in the article are those of December 2024. Today's prices are in our online shop.

    by Romana Cordova

The article lists five places to enjoy grissini in Turin, including the shop in Piazza Castello, which it presents as the city-centre shop of the historic breadstick bakery. It also lists the rubatà flavours.

‘Nel cuore della città, in piazza Castello, lo storico grissinificio Feyles’

    — La Voce di Torino

Please note. For many years our bakery was in Santena, which the article spells ‘Sentena’; since early 2025 we have been in Cambiano. Instead of the Sesamino the article mentions, there are now Tre Semi grissini, made with sesame, linseed and chia.

  3. La Cucina Italiana

‘I migliori grissini di Torino: ecco dove trovarli in 5 panifici’ (opens in a new tab)

    by Sarah Scaparone

‘un negozio monomarca dedicato al grissino’

    — La Cucina Italiana

Please note. The article refers to the breadstick bakery in Santena, but since early 2025 we have been in Cambiano. Instead of the Sesamino, there are now Tre Semi grissini, made with sesame, linseed and chia, and the spiced grissini, which the article calls Speciale, are now Rubatà Speziati.

The article lists the Feyles shop in Piazza Castello among the city's new openings. The shop opened on 2 December 2023 and, the article says, is known for its rubatà, including extra virgin olive oil, maize flour, wholemeal and sesame seed versions.

‘una tappa obbligata per coloro che amano il croccante gusto dei grissini torinesi’

    — GuidaTorino

Please note. Instead of the sesame seed grissini, there are now Tre Semi grissini, made with sesame, linseed and chia. Their ingredients are on their own page, which you can open from our Products page.

  2. TorinoToday

‘Storico grissinificio piemontese dopo 55 anni apre il primo negozio in centro a Torino’ (opens in a new tab)

    by Carolina Pozzi

It announces the opening of the first Feyles shop in Turin, in Piazza Castello, on 2 December 2023, and explains what rubatà are. It also reports what the company told the newspaper, namely that Feyles grissini were already sold in many shops, delis and restaurants throughout Italy.

‘primo monomarca a Torino di Feyles, operativo da sabato 2 dicembre 2023’

    — TorinoToday

Please note. The article dates from 2023 and refers to our bakery in Santena, whereas since early 2025 we have been in Cambiano. Instead of the sesame seed grissini it mentions, there are now Tre Semi grissini, made with sesame, linseed and chia. The article says the name ‘rubatà’ comes from the dialect for ‘fallen’ or ‘tumbled’, whereas for the Piedmont Region it means ‘rolled’. The different explanations of the name are in our guide How to choose grissini.
